Directions to Commonwealth Oil

From the Ambassador Bridge:

After having cleared Canada Customs proceed south on Huron Line. Some points you will pass along the way to confirm you are on the correct route will be:

a)    You will pass under E.C. Rowe Expressway

b)    You will pass by The Best Western Hotel on your right side

c)    You will go around a curve to your left and pass by St. Clair College on your left side

d)    You will now approach Howard Avenue which is a significant intersection.

Turn right on Howard Avenue/County Rd. 9 and proceed for approximately 20 km/12 miles until the road ends at Highway 18/County Rd. 20. Turn left and follow the highway through Harrow. After you have passed through Harrow you will notice Agriculture Canada on the right side. The next intersection is Ferriss Side Road. Turn left, proceed for 300 metres and you will have arrived at Commonwealth Oil.

From the Detroit-Windsor Tunnel:

After clearing Canada Customs turn left on Park Street and turn left again onto Ouellette Avenue. You are now heading south. Some points you will pass along the way to confirm you are on the correct route will be:

a)    Hotel Dieu Hospital will be on your left side

b)    You will go onto an overpass

c)    Tepperman’s Furniture will be on your left side and Ouellette Avenue becomes Dougal Road

d)    You will pass under E.C. Rowe Expressway

e)    You will exit Dougal Road onto Howard Avenue per the signs.

Follow Howard Avenue/County Rd. 9 for approximately 20 km/12 miles until the road ends at Highway 18/County Rd. 20. Turn left and follow the highway through Harrow. After you have passed through Harrow you will notice Agriculture Canada on the right side. The next intersection is Ferriss Side Road. Turn left, proceed for 300 metres and you will have arrived at Commonwealth Oil.

From Highway 401 Westbound into Windsor, Ontario:

Follow Hwy. 401 West to Exit 48 Southbound onto Hwy 77. Follow the road and be sure to turn left just before going into Staples to insure you stay on Hwy 77. You will come into Leamington and continue proceeding past the H. J. Heinz plant and Canadian Tire until you approach Seacliff Drive West/County Rd. 20. Turn right and proceed westbound. This road will soon become known as Highway 18/County Rd. 20. Drive through Kingsville and just before you come into Harrow you will approach Ferriss Side Road. Turn right and proceed for 300 metres and you will have arrived at Commonwealth Oil.
